diVa® VAGINAL REJUVENATION

diVa® Laser Vaginal Therapy: A Quick, Comfortable, no Downtime Solution

Each diVa® laser vaginal therapy session is quick and generally requires only three to five minutes to complete during an in-office procedure. No anesthesia is necessary, though a local anesthetic will be used in order to numb the area and reduce discomfort during the procedure itself. Women who undergo diVa® laser vaginal therapy also require no downtime for recovery and can resume their normal daily activities the very same day, however, they must abstain from intercourse for 7-10 days.

Why Should You Consider diVa®?

During each diVa® laser vaginal therapy session, the diVa® uses two types of laser therapy that combine to work in synergy, delivering both ablative and non-ablative wavelengths to the treatment area to achieve customizable results. As the layers of the vaginal walls are deeply resurfaced by the first laser, it also replaces them with layers of healthy new tissue. Heat from the second laser is used to stimulate the layers of collagen in the tissue, which will help strengthen and revitalize the vaginal tissue. The diVa® laser vaginal therapy has been specially designed with a motorized control system that is extremely accurate to ensure that the length of each treatment is minimal; that the treatments are uniform and consistent; and that, regardless of the user, the results are the same.

The diVa® system uses a single-use Strengthened Quartz Dilator (SQD) which has a quartz tip that expands and flattens vaginal tissue while the tip itself remains stationary, resulting in treatment that is uniform in its effects. A handpiece attached to the tip rotates through the area being treated and delivers pulses through new sections of quartz, which help ensure the efficiency of the laser. Because each SQD is used only once, there is little risk for cross-contamination, and the downtime between treatments is shortened as well.

diVa® Rewards

While the effects of having the layers of the vaginal walls resurfaced are physically noticeable, they are also significantly noticeable in the emotional and mental health of the women who receive treatment. They feel more confident in themselves as women, more able to satisfy their sexual partners, and more satisfied in their own intimate experiences, as well. For these women, intimacy is far more pleasurable and no longer painful, meaning that they can once again look forward to leading a healthy and active love life.

diVa® Laser Vaginal Therapy

With recent changes in the way that technology has been used in areas of healthcare such as urogynecology, vaginal therapy treatments have been increasingly beneficial in restoring vaginal health for women who have undergone the life stages that naturally change the state of her vaginal health. One such method of technology, the diVa laser vaginal therapy developed by Sciton, Inc., uses hybrid fractional laser technology to resurface and strengthen the layers of the vaginal wall.

Should You Be A diVa®?

As a woman ages, there are many changes that her body naturally experiences that will take a toll on her vaginal health, the most common of which include childbirth and menopause, though there are other events that may also reduce the amount of estrogen she produces. That reduction in estrogen can greatly affect the vaginal walls, causing them to become thinner, dryer, and even inflamed, which often significantly diminishes vaginal function. These common events include hysterectomy, breastfeeding, and chemotherapy treatments.

For women who have experienced childbirth, the damage that has been done to the vaginal canal and the tissue surrounding it because of stretching during the birthing process is largely repaired naturally; but the tissue often never fully returns to the same pre-birth state. The vaginal walls, the perineum, and the tissue surrounding these areas have all been compromised—a fact which bears greatly on vaginal health as a whole.

diVa laser vaginal therapy can greatly change the way that these women feel about themselves sexually, improving their sex lives and restoring their own self-confidence. Through the cutting-edge Hybrid Fractional Laser (HFL) technology employed by the diVa® treatment, a medical specialist such as a urogynecologist or OB/GYN will be able to specifically tailor each treatment to suit the needs of their patient in addressing their personal issues regarding intimate health.
