O-Shot®: 10 Minutes to a Better Sex Life
So many things can take a toll on a woman's sex life and sexual satisfaction. Childbirth can damage pelvic tissues and cause vaginal laxity. The hormonal swings of menopause can lower libido, decrease lubrication and make sex painful. Disorders can make arousal and orgasm difficult. Or maybe a woman has just never felt sexually alive. Now, there is a female sexual enhancement treatment that can address many of the issues that make sex blah, boring, painful or not even on the "to do" list.
What is O-Shot®?
The O-Shot® is an all-natural, virtually painless non-surgical female sexual enhancement procedure that for many women rejuvenates and revitalizes vaginal and clitoral function, raising libido while improving arousal and orgasms.
How Does O-Shot® Work?
O-Shot® uses growth platelets derived from the patient's own blood to stimulate tissue rejuvenation and improved response in the areas associated with sexual pleasure, including the clitoris and the upper portion of the vagina. New tissue growth and sensitivity create female sexual enhancement.
What Issues Can the O-Shot® Treat?
Sexual health is complicated and involves the mind and body. But the first step toward female sexual enhancement and better sexual health is making sure the body is primed, healthy and receptive to sexual activity.
An estimated 1 in 20 women face Female Sexual Arousal Disorder at some point in their lives. While they are willing and able to have sex, they have difficulties with arousal, pleasure and reaching orgasm. About 5% of women experience Female Orgasmic Disorder and can become aroused but have difficulty reaching orgasm.
The O-Shot® can help improve:
- Decreased libido (sex drive)
- Female Sexual Arousal Disorder (lack of pleasure with arousal)
- Female Orgasmic Disorder (difficulty with orgasm)
- Dyspareunia (painful intercourse)
- Stress urinary incontinence
- Urge urinary incontinence
- Lichen sclerosis
- Lichen planus
- Chronic pain from trauma from childbirth (episiotomy scars)
- Chronic pain from mesh
What Can I Expect During O-Shot® Treatment?
Before your provider advises any treatment, you'll have a thorough medical consultation to determine if the O-Shot® is the best answer to your concerns.
First, the doctor or nurse applies a numbing cream to the vagina and the arm. Blood is drawn from the arm as it would be for any blood test. Then, using a centrifuge and a unique method, platelet-rich plasma with the resultant growth factors is isolated.
Using a very thin needle, the provider injects the growth factors into the clitoris and the upper vaginal areas most closely associated with arousal and orgasm.
What Is the O-Shot® Recovery Time?
Because injections are minimally invasive, O-Shot® has a fast recovery time. Your provider can give you full information about recovery times and after-care.
What Are the Benefits of O-Shot®?
Women who may benefit from O-Shot® are interested in:
- Stronger orgasms
- Increased sexual desire
- Increased natural lubrication
- Decreased urinary incontinence
- More orgasms
- Increased sensitivity
- Tighter vaginal skin
- Increased desire
- Better, healthier sex
When Will I See The Benefits?
Some women experience an increased sex drive and ability to orgasm the same day. Urinary incontinence may also improve in the days following the treatment. O-Shot® should reach it's full effectiveness in two to three weeks.
How Long Do the Effects of O-Shot® Last?
O-Shot® lasts up to three years or longer in some women. The average period of effectiveness is about 18 months.

The Federal Food and Drug Administration has approved the use of the O-Shot PRFM kit for use in the knee to rejuvenate tissue. This same kit is used for the Vampire Facelift (R) procedure. Please note that the FDA has not evaluated the use of this kit for preparing PRP for use in the vagina.
